Celebrating Labor
Good morning readers! I wonder how many workers and tradesmen will be taking Labor Day off? If your family is like mine, you will probably want to take it off but; you will look for some excuse to do a little work, or to lend a hand to someone you just can't say no to.
I want to remind everyone that Labor Day was actually created to celebrate the labor force, tradesmen, and union workers. It was a way to acknowledge the contributions that workers made to our country. So - if you think it's just another long weekend to catch up on stuff, consider that it is a way to celebrate you and your hard work, and the contributions that you make to your family and your country, by working hard each day. It is truly a day that you earned, and should enjoy by doing something that relaxes you.
At one time, I worked as a union plumber and although it was a great experience, I don’t miss those cold, winter months working in big open buildings. I love what I am doing now, and I love meeting home owners and business owners; and I would like to thank all our customers for their business. Additionally, in honor of all tradesmen and all the hard-working men and women, I wish you all a happy Labor Day. And don't forget to mark Labor Day on your calendar as "Me Day", and take the day off to celebrate your hard work. and the fruits of your labor.
